For the Ladies

Do's:

1. If you're invited to a dressy daytime wedding, look for a more polished dress appropriate for either morning or afternoon.

2. Wear dresses or skirts with modest length. The longer the dress/skirt, the better.

3. For a formal daytime wedding, look for a chic skirt suit with a fun detail, like a belt, for example, or a bright color. You'll look pulled-together and polished without looking office-like.

4. Try a summery sundress or knit dress. Bright colors are perfectly acceptable for a morning wedding (especially during warmer months). Plain-colored dresses are preferred.

5. Try an a-line or full skirt with a blouse, or a jacket and skirt combo. Again, bright colors or solids would be appropriate.

6. Hate wearing skirts? Dressy pants with a blouse and/or jacket would be fine as well.

Don'ts:

1. No flip-flops. Flat sandals or low heels are appropriate, but be classy!

2. Nothing too short or too tight. Mini skirts are not appropriate.

3. Avoid wearing all white (or all black, for that matter). A black dress is just fine today, but you might want to snazz it up with something colorful (it could even be your shoes!)
